The render, that was first published by technology website MySmartPrice, shows an updated version of the Oppo A5 smartphone, that was launched in India in August last year. Along with the render, the report also talks about some specifications of the upcoming smartphone. The device can be seen to sport a waterdrop-shaped notch on the top of its display, and that also means that it has a greater screen-to-body ratio. A fingerprint sensor can also be seen on the back panel of the smartphone.
Coming to the specifications of the smartphone, Oppo A5s is reportedly 8.2mm thick and is said to weigh around 170 grams. According to the report, the smartphone will be available in Red, Black, Gold, and Green colour variants. However, as of now, we don’t know which among these would make it to India. Oppo A5s will reportedly be powered by MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core SoC that will be clubbed with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM. The device is expected to come with either 32GB or 64GB internal storage and will have support for a microSD card. According to the report, Oppo A5s will feature a 6.2-inch HD+ display, and as of now, we don’t know if it will be protected by the likes of Gorilla Glass for scratch protection. At the back, Oppo A5s will reportedly sport a dual rear camera setup that will comprise of a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth-sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there will be an 8MP front-facing snapper with an f/2.0 aperture. Oppo A5s will house a 4,230mah battery and will run Android Oreo skinned with ColorOS 5.2. Currently, there is no word on the launch date of the device, so we will have to wait a little more before we get an update.
